Volkswagen is on its way to become the market leader and the strategies are quite impressive. More impressive is the impact the brand has created. If you go back to our homepage, you will find that the last two consecutive articles are about this German brand only and here comes the third one.
Here comes a news which will make some of the Passat fans happy and some sad. All those who were expecting the German brand to launch the new Passat(version-B7) will be disappointed as according to Autocar UK, VW will be giving the current B6 Passat a new design thus postponing the new car’s launch to 2012 or 2013.
The pics Autocar managed to click, reveal that the redesigned Passat will sport a new nose design following Volkswagen’s current design trend. A new tail section will make its way to this Paris Motor Show-bound car. The car will also get square reflectors incorporated in the headlamps to give it a classier look. A four bar grille made of chrome and a full width air intake are the other design features visible on the heavily clad test mules.
The car will recieve updated interiors to make it a little more upmarket. It will get a Golf-esque sporty steering wheel. The Engine options wont change while the chasis will get an upgrade to a better ride and handling package. The car will be launched at the Paris Motor Show in September this year.
