Nissan India today announced the appointment of Sanjay Gupta as the Vice President, Marketing, Nissan Motor India. This appointment will be effective from December 21, 2015. Sanjay Gupta will be reporting to Arun Malhotra, the Managing Director for Nissan Motor India.
In this role, Sanjay Gupta will be responsible for developing creative marketing strategies across the product range apart from defining the pricing, positioning, promotion and implementation of these strategies to deliver results.
Speaking about Sanjay Gupta’s appointment, Arun Malhotra said, “Sanjay Gupta has a consistent record of high performance and extensive experience in automotive sales, service, and marketing in India. I am happy to have a seasoned leader like him join us to accelerate Nissan’s progress in a dynamic market like India.”
With over two decades of experience in the automotive and engineering industries in India, Gupta has worked with organizations like Hyundai Motor India, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, and Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India. Until recently, he was the Senior Vice President of Marketing at M3M India. He has a track record of establishing brands and making them distinctive amidst a highly competitive market.
