Don’t jump to any conclusions yet 😉 The above picture is just a rendering/photoshop mix of the rumoured new Honda CB250F that has floated on TMCBlog. The image further links to Thailand Motocross Magazine hinting possibilities of a CBR250R based street bike to be unveiled at the 34th Bangkok International Motor Show 2013 slated to be held from 25th March to 7th April 2013.
It is further rumoured that post launch of the CRF250L which shares the engine from the CBR250R in a slightly detuned state might make it to a 250cc adventure variant on similar lines of the 500X.
Additionally also speculated that the 200cc Honda Tiger aka the Honda GL200 sold in Indonesia is due for a replacement soon and chances are that the new Honda CB250F might replace the Tiger. It is mentioned that Astra Honda Motor- largest distributor of Honda motorcycles in Indonesia is presently under development of a new 250cc motorcycle, though again without any substantial evidence. But as it goes for saying, there is no smoke without fire. The present breed of CBRs, Z250s etc were all rumours and speculations at one point of time and have finally made it to production.
On our part we’d say that manufacturers should start hiring these rendering artists. Their designs are near-perfected reflections of what we as bikers would want. What’s your take?
