Back in March this year, UM Motorcycles showcased a special edition of the Renegade Commando to its dealers ahead of its reported launch that was to take place in October 2017. Now, if reports are to be believed, this special edition motorcycle, known as the Commando Mojave Edition, will be launched in India on September 2, 2017.
The report further added that the company will launch another new product, the Renegade Classic, on the same day. The Renegade Classic made its debut in India at the 2016 Auto Expo held last year in Delhi. Based on the same platform as the Renegade Commando and the Renegade Sport S, the model will come equipped with numerous chrome bits, a tall windscreen apart from the classic badging.

Coming to the Commando Mojave Edition, the model is a special edition of the standard Renegade Commando. The model receives a few visual changes such as a sand coloured paintjob inspired from the Mojave desert in the U.S. The company also offers a cord wrapped engine guard and a leather saddle bag on the left side of the motorcycle.
Powering the UM Renegade Classic and the Commando Mojave edition will be a 279cc single cylinder, water cooled engine that will be capable of producing 24.8 bhp at 4000 rpm and 21.8 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm. This engine will come mated to a six speed transmission, sending power to the rear wheel.
