With a firm belief in this highly inspiring quote by William Arthur, a team of four likeminded individuals undertook a successful attempt to break a national record for “Fastest North-South Expedition by a Non-modified Four Wheeler”.

The four member team comprising of Siddharth Sharma, Manmeet Singh, Capt.(Retd.) Abhishek Saraswat & Capt.(Retd.) Yogesh Kumar Gaur started off the first leg of their journey in a Tata Safari 4X2 from Mumbai to Leh on 25th of Sep’12 & post acclimatization to the high altitude; they flag started their attempt to break the previously set record on 27th of Sep’12 from Leh.

Withstanding the harsh weather &bad road conditions they completed this endurance run on 30th of Sep’12 atKanyakumari.

The said attempt has been recognized by the prestigious “Limca Book of Records” as a new national record in the adventure category.

Travelling through 10 states & National Capital Region they covered 3997.8 kms in 72.47 hours breaking the previously set record by almost 6.5 hours.

This attempt was undertaken strictly as per the norms laid by renowned record keeper – Limca Book of Records”.

This expedition was dedicated to the ‘Destitute’children of India and the team interacted with the local agencies, visited orphanages before flag off at Leh and post conclusion of the expedition at Kanyakumari.
