Renault India Pvt. Ltd. today announced the introduction of the entry-level RxE diesel variant of the Renault Scala entry level sedan. The new Scala RxE diesel is priced at Rs. 8.29 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new variant extends the Renault diesel line up and offers customers a competitive and well-packaged diesel option in the entry level C segment.
For an entry level variant, the new Scala RxE comes considerably loaded with features.
On the outside, the Scala RxE comes with:
- Dual tone bumpers
- Body coloured ORVMs
- Full wheel covers
- A chrome strip that runs across the the boot
On the inside, the Scala RxE comes with:
- Tilt-adjustable steering
- Manual A/C
- Rear A/C vents
- Integrated audio system with CD/MP3/AUX capability connected to 4 speakers
Safety features on offer include:
- Front driver’s side airbag
- ABS+EBD with brake assist
- Engine immobiliser
- Anti theft system
Powering all the diesel variants of the Renault Scala is the popular 1.5 litre K9K four cylinder diesel engine that has a max power output of 85 bhp and a peak torque output of 200 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
