Renault India inaugurates flagship dealership in Jamnagar

Renault India has inaugurated its new sales and service dealership in Jamnagar today. Dharti Motors Pvt. Ltd. is the name of Renault’s new flagship dealership in Jamnagar and was inaugurated by Bruno Lops, Head of Sales and Network, Renault India.

The dealership is spread over 25000 sq. ft. of space. It has a display area for 5 cars and a service area with 10 bays, a paint booth, bodyshop and facilities for wheel alignment, wheel balancing and engine repairs. It also has a large parking space for visitors. Renault’s new dealership is the first in Jamnagar and is located near Essar Petrol Pump, Rajkot Highway, Hapa.


Sumit Sawhney, Country CEO and Managing Director, Renault India Operations said, “We have a clear focus on growing the Renault brand in India, and expanding our network presence is imperative to achieve this objective. Through Renault Jamnagar, we will offer customers an excellent brand experience – from the test drive, to delivery and after-sales support, and promise a long-serving relationship with the Renault brand.” Renault India currently has 164 sales and service facilities and according to the French carmaker, this number will grow to 280 sales and service touch points by the end of 2015.

    Renault has had only one product doing well in India – Duster. You take out this product then the market share and performance of Renault is near zero. Even Duster did not even do half as well though it was a good product. The reason is extremely poor sales, service, distribution and dealer network of Renault. The sales, after sales and marketing of Renault are very very ordinary. Instead of appointing any new dealer Renault must correct its sales, after sales service and current dealer network.
