The Renault Duster Oroch pick-up truck has been launched in Brazil; with prices starting from R$ 62,290 (approximately INR 10.18 lakh). Based on the much loved Duster SUV, the rather oddly named Oroch is only available with a dual cab configuration.
Styling wise, things remain similar to the Duster till the C-pillar, post which the wheelbase and length have been extended to accommodate the 683 litre cargo bay. Rear end styling is all-new and features muscular haunches, segmented tail lamps with LED elements, a new bumper and a neatly resolved roof section with slick roof bars.
The Oroch is offered with the same dual-fuel petrol/ethanol engines as the Duster SUV, which include a 1.6-liter unit good for 110hp (115hp with ethanol) and a 2.0-liter unit good for 143hp (148hp with ethanol). The former is offered with a five-speed manual transmission, while the latter is mated to a six-speed manual. An automatic transmission will be available later.
The Duster Oroch is available in three variants, which are Expression 1.6 16V, Dynamique 1.6 16V and Dynamique 2.0 16V. The Expression variant offers standard features like dual airbags, ABS, power steering, air conditioning, 16-inch alloys, power windows, CD MP3 radio with four speakers and roof bars. The rest of the variants add the Media NAV Evolution infotainment system, fog lights, 16-inch Dark Gray alloys, cruise control, power mirrors, parking sensors, steering wheel with leather trim, and a trip computer.
