We reported when Renault managed to bag over 6000 bookings for the Duster mini SUV within five days of its launch. This alone shows that the newly started mini SUV segment is busy scaling new heights and with the launch of Ford Ecosport slated to happen soon, things should only get better. The 2012 Renault Duster seems to be a well sorted out car with enough features and masculinity to appeal to both entry level SUV and upper C segment sedan buyers. The mini SUV comes with the tried and tested diesel engine in two states of tune and combined with an aggressive price tag, makes quite a case for itself. Now, one of the deficiencies of the package is that the car is a five seater. However, it has emerged that the SUV can be converted into a 7 seater as Renault India is offering two side facing jump seats in the boot as a dealer fitment.
