Jaguar-Land Rover India has sent out invites for the launch of the new Range Rover Evoque Convertible. The new, open-top luxury SUV will arrive in India on March 27, 2018.
The manufacturer has remained tight-lipped about any details so mechanical specifications of the upcoming SUV are scarce. However, previous reports suggest that the Range Rover Evoque Convertible will use a 2.0-litre si4 petrol engine that produces 237 bhp of maximum power and 340 Nm of peak torque. This engine will send the power to all four wheels via 9 speed automatic transmission. The soft top variant of the Evoque can sprint from o-100 kmph in 8.6 seconds while the top speed stands at 209 kmph.
The feature list on the Evoque convertible will include a new 10.2 inch touch-screen InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with smartphone integration as well as a roll over protection device that features roll over bars hidden in the bodywork.
The Evoque convertible is manufactured at the company’s plant in Halewood, U.K. The SUV will most likely arrive to the Indian shores through the CBU route and thus command a premium over the standard Evoque.
