Tata Group owned British SUV maker Land Rover will be unveiling new diesel-electric hybrid versions of the all-new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport at the 2013 edition of Frankfurt Motor Show. It is being said that the new hybrid variants will go on sale in Europe towards the end of this year and joining the new hybrids will be a V8 diesel variant of the Sport. This motor will have 700Nm of torque.

It is being said that the new hybrid variants will consist of a three-liter V6 turbodiesel engine that will come coupled with an electric motor. Both the Range Rover and the Range Rover Sport will get the same hybrid system.

It is being said that the hybrid powerplants won’t make it to the US market but we won’t be too surprised to see Land Rover coming up with an ‘exclusive for US’ hybrid for powerplant in near future.
