German Luxury sports car maker Porsche has extended its line up in India with the introduction of its sports utility vehicle, Cayenne’s Diesel Platinum Edition. The company has priced the Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition at Rs 86.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Powering the Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition is a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine which churns out 245 horse power and does naught to 100 kph in little over 7.2 seconds.
Accents painted in Platinum Silver Metallic include the centre and side air intake grills, the side window trim, the rear lip spoiler and the lower tailgate trim. The standard colours include monotone paint finishes in Black and White, while Meteor Grey Metallic, Basalt Black Metallic and Mahogany Metallic are available as additional extra cost colour options.
The new Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition model will have standard features such as sport design steering wheel with paddle shifters, 19-inch Cayenne Design II wheels with coloured crest and Porsche Communication Management (PCM), which incorporates a navigation module.
Speaking about the new Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition, Anil Reddi, Porsche India Director said “With many of the most requested options now available as standard, I have no doubt that our customers will enjoy the enhanced driving experience and further accentuated look of the new Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition,” he added..
The Porsche Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition is priced to compete with the Range Rover Evoque and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.
