Petrol Price Goes Down by Up to 1.2 Rupees

In a move that should spell at least some relief to petrol car and motorcycle users, Indian Oil Corporation today reduced the price of petrol by as much as Rs. 1.2 at some places. The reason for this marginal decrease in prices is the rupee getting healthier from its earlier position against US Dollar.

Petrol Prices in Major Indian cities after reduction are

  • Mumbai: Rs 73.53 ( – Rs 1.2)
  • Chennai: Rs 70.57 ( – Rs 1.2)
  • Kolkata: Rs 74.55 ( -Rs 1.19)Petrol

The new prices have already come into effect and the price drop should provide at least some relief to two wheeler and petrol car users.
