Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal recently tweeted that the company will be opening over 200 experience stores in the country. Since the launch of the S1 Pro in August 2021, Ola has followed a digital sales approach. However, that is about to change soon and prospective customers can check the scooters out and get a demo in person. Bhavish Aggarwal also stated that 20 such centers are already open, however, the locations are not revealed yet.
Ola Electric: Recent Launches
Ola recently launched the S1 electric scooter at ₹99,999. The S1 is powered by a 3 kWh battery that offers an ARAI-claimed range of 141 km. In the real world, it is claimed to return 128 km of range in Eco mode, 101 km of range in Normal mode, and 90 Km of range in Sports Mode. The top speed is rated at 95 km/h and it weighs 121 kg. Other than this, the S1 is the same as the S1 Pro when it comes to design and mechanicals. The Ola electric scooter can be charged with a portable home charger of 750W. This will charge the S1 and S1 Pro to 100% in just 4.50 hours and 6.30 hours respectively.
The Ola hyper charger station can charge it to 50% in just 18 minutes. Both scooters also get a torque figure of 58nm. The Ola Electric scooter uses single-sided suspension and disc brakes, as well as 110/70-R12 MRF tires, at both ends. The Ola electric is packed to the brim with features. It gets a 7-inch TFT display with all the necessary information including navigation. The display lets you choose different driver profiles which provide different settings for everyone. Like other scooters in the segment, this one gets a reverse mode as well. In addition to that, it has a proximity unlock that starts up the scooter as you approach it.
The scooter can be used in silent mode or emit a sound that is customizable as well. The features common between the S1 and S1 Pro are all LED lights and the TFT display. The S1 uses Ola’s latest Move 2 OS which comes with music playback functionality. The Ola S1 is offered in five color options including Red, Jet Black, Porcelain White, Neo Mint, and Liquid Silver.
