OLA Electric has launched the updated S1 Air in the market. Also, they have opened the purchasing window for their electric scooters.
It means that OLA community members can make the purchase of the S1 Air scooter. Meanwhile, the purchasing window for other customers will open from July 31, 2023.
About the bookings and Pricing Range
OLA Electric has opened the purchasing window for the S1 Air electric scooter. However, the company opened its bookings yesterday. As a result, the electric scooter has gained 3,000 bookings within 3 hours of the period.
Currently, OLA community members can purchase the electric scooter for an introductory price of Rs. 1,09,999. This price is valid till July 30, 2023.
However, the EV maker will start the purchasing process for other customers on July 31, 2023. After July 30, the price of OLA S1 Air will be Rs. 1,19,999.
With the launch of the new S1 Air, OLA has aimed to promote the adoption of electric vehicles in the market. Moreover, the company is working on reducing the global carbon footprint.
About OLA S1 Air
OLA S1 Air uses a similar platform which is also seen in the other S1 models. Since the S1 Air is affordable for the lot, there is some possibility of cost-cutting. The main difference between the S1 Air and other models is the battery capacity and electric motor size.
The OLA S1 Air doesn’t get the Hyper mode which is present in other S1 variants. Meanwhile, the S1 Air gets a 3kWh battery pack and a 4.5kWh hub electric motor. This results in 0-40 km/h in 3.3 seconds, 90km/h top speed, and 125km of range.
The electric scooter has introduced a new Neon Green color in the range. Also, it gets the new grab handlebar. OLA S1 Air continues to compete with its rivals such as TVS iQube and Ather 450S.
