Honda has started the production of their compact SUV, the Elevate. The Elevate is one of the important launches from the Japanese carmaker. Meanwhile, the carmaker is launching the Elevate in September 2023.

Manufacturing and Production Details

Honda has started the production of Elevate at its Tapukara plant. The carmaker also produces its other models like Amaze and City in this plant. It represents that this production plant is important for the carmaker.

Honda says that India is the first country where the production and sales of Elevate will be started. Moreover, the carmaker will also export the Elevate from this plant to the global markets.

Meanwhile, the production of India-spec Elevate will have 90% of localized parts. It means that the car will be locally manufactured to keep costs in control. Recently, Honda unveiled and started the bookings of the Elevate.

Honda Elevate is a mid-size compact SUV from the Japanese carmaker. The SUV features a bold design and good road presence. Upfront, it gets LED DRLs, slim LED headlights, and a large grille with a thick chrome insert.

Also, the SUV gets flared wheel arches, thick cladding, dual-tone alloy wheels, LED taillights, and bumpers with skid plates. These elements add to the sporty stance of the SUV.

Like the exterior, the Elevate gets a premium and elegant interior with a new layout. However, a few panels might resemble the fifth-generation Honda City. Meanwhile, the dashboard gets a 10.25-inch floating-type infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster.

Moreover, the new Elevate will be loaded with features like a reverse parking camera, sunroof, lane-watch camera, wireless charging, etc. Also, it will get ADAS features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, road departure warning, headlight assist, etc.

The Powertrain, Launch, Pricing, and the Competition

Honda Elevate gets only one engine option which also powers the Honda City sedan. The new Elevate uses the same 1.5L 4-cylinder i-vtec petrol engine. This engine produces 120hp of power and 145nm of torque output.

Meanwhile, the Elevate will get the options of a 6-Speed Manual and the CVT Automatic gearbox.

The carmaker is likely to launch the Elevate and announce its prices in the first week of September 2023. After the launch, Honda Elevate will compete with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, MG Astor, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, etc.
