Its official ! Harley Davidson India has confirmed the launch of the Street 750 on the 5th February, 2014. The launch will happen at their stall in Hall 4 at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014.
The new Harley Davidson Street 750, which is the second model in the motorcycle maker’s new entry level range of bikes, is quite literally a ‘revolution’ of sorts. The platform on which the new Street range of Harleys ride is the first all-new motorcycle architecture from the bike maker in 14 years!
The Harley Davidson Street 750 was unveiled last year at the 2013 edition of EICMA. Powering the new motorcycle is an all-new Revolution X Engine. Harley-Davidson have increased the angle of the V-twin to 60 degrees, results in achieving a lower center of gravity, which in turn aids the handling. This new engine is liquid cooled, which is a first for a Harley motorcycle.
The new Harley Davidson Street 750 has not just been made for India but will also be Made in India, with the assembly taking place at the manufacturer’s Bawal facility in Haryana.
The Harley Davidson Street 750 will be powered by an 750 cc motor that would have a max power of more than 52 bhp. The engine has a V Twin layout and benefits from liquid cooling and fuel injection.The engine comes mated to a 6 speed transmission.
The Harley Davidson Street 750 will be available in two paint options- red and black, and is expected to be priced at around INR 5 lakh.
