Nissan Sells 8991 Cars In Dec 2022

Nissan Motor India announced cumulative wholesales of 8991 units with cumulative wholesale YTD growth at 19%. For the month of December, the domestic wholesales stood at 2020 units, and export wholesales stood at 6971 units. Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, commented, “The year has been challenging on the supply side, customer interest has been strong specially in the festive period. The higher purchasing power of the customers is driving interest towards aspirational products. Happy to see strong connect and conversion of customers to Nissan Magnite in domestic and export markets.”

In December, Nissan Motor India showcased its Global Premium SUVs – the X-Trail, Qashqai, and Juke – at the multi-city “Move Beyond Golf Tournament” in Delhi NCR. The first edition of the tournament was flagged off from Jaypee Greens Golf and Spa Resort in Noida. India’s celebrated boxing champion Mary Kom was a special guest at the event, participating in the tee-off and award ceremonies. The tournament will subsequently be held at prestigious golf courses in other key markets. The main purpose of this was to improve Nissan’s image in India. And it has worked to an extent

Nissan India commences bookings for Nissan Magnite RED Edition

So, has it worked? Nissan Magnite continues to be the preferred choice of vehicle in the B-SUV segment in India and has registered over one lakh bookings. Launched in December 2020, the Magnite has been designed in Japan and made in India, underlining Nissan India’s manufacturing philosophy of “Make-In-India, Make for the World”. It is currently available at a starting ex-showroom price of INR 5.97 lakh. Nissan also launched the Magnite Red Edition in July 2022 at an attractive price of INR 7.86 lakh. Exports? The Nissan Magnite is exported to over 15 countries. The most recent launches have been in Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh.

Nissan India commenced exports in September 2010 and currently exports vehicles from its Renault-Nissan Automotive India Ltd. plant in Chennai to 108 countries including New Zealand, Australia, and countries in the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, South-East Asia, SAARC, Sub Sahara, and African regions. In recent years, Nissan India has shifted its primary export market from Europe to Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
