It has today emerged that Japanese auto giant Nissan intends to unveil the next generation X-Trail at the upcoming 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, which will be held later this month. The current gen X-trail has been in business for a lot of time and hence, it doesn’t come across as too big a surprise that Nissan would soon come up with the complete model replacement.
The revelation that Nissan would unveil the all new X-Trail at Frankfurt comes from Autoevolution, which says that Nissan’s “surprise unveil” for the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show is indeed the new X-Trail.
Not much is known about the next gen X-Trail but from what we hear, the car will be underpinned by Renault-Nissan’s new Common Modular Family (CMF) platform. The latest new-age platform will be shared between as many as 11 Renault-Nissan models in near future.
Visually, the next gen X-Trail is expected to look somewhat similar to the Hi-Cross concept that was seen at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
No one is aware of what the next gen 2014 Nissan X-Trail would be like (unless of course, you work at Nissan) but safely expect us to update you as soon as we get some more facts.
