German premium car maker Mercedes-Benz will unveil the new V-Class on January 30, next year. This news comes from Mercedes Passion Blog, who have also posted this teaser image of the upcoming vehicle.
Codenamed as W447, this new model will bring back the V-Class family name, which was replaced a decade ago by Mercedes-Benz.The letter V in the name V-class denotes to the Van family from Mercedes-Benz and the upcoming model has good chances of becoming much more successful than the now defunct R Class. According to several reports that can be found online, business owners can buy a more upscale version of the V-class, which will be available with the Vito moniker.
It is being said that the base variant of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz V-Class will be powered by a 2.1 litre diesel engine that can also be found powering other cars in the MFA series from Mercedes-Benz. This motor will be available with optional AWD and the V-Class will also be sold with more powerful engines that will come mated to a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
Deliveries are expected to start around March next year and prices for the upcoming 2015 Mercedes V-Class could start at 34,000 euros (approx INR 28 lakhs).
