Mahindra has unveiled their new Global pik-up truck, drawing inspiration from the Scorpio-N. Designed in Mumbai, the truck’s design beautifully blends global appeal, innovation, and versatility.
The automaker claims that the new pik-up truck will be packed with the latest technology, capability, and practicality. Also, the automaker has reworked its platform with higher-strength steel and stiffness with improved rigidity.
Design of Mahindra Pik-Up truck
The Mahindra Global Pik-Up truck boasts a muscular and distinctive design, accentuating its aggressive stance. Extensive research was conducted to create a practical and robust pickup truck.
Upfront, the Pik-Up truck concept gets a gloss black grille, LED headlights, L-shaped LED DRLs, and a fat bumper with a tow winch. The rugged character is highlighted by the sculpted bonnet, wheel arch cladding and upright stance. Meanwhile, the Pik-Up truck concept rides on stylish off-road wheels and boasts a new side boarding.
At the roof, the concept sports a wide LED light bar and roof rack which adds to its aggressive stance. While the decklid design looks plain somehow. But it gets a flat tailgate with LED taillights, Mahindra embossing, two spare wheels and a new upright bumper with reflectors and skid plates. All these design elements result in a bold and aggressive design profile of the pik-up truck.
The Features and Powertrain Details
The new Mahindra Pik-Up truck is loaded with a plethora of exciting features which highlight the practicality of the Utility Vehicle. Below is the list of the features:
Sunroof: The automaker will provide an electric sunroof in the pik-up truck. With this feature, it will offer an airy feel to the cabin of the vehicle.
Semi-Automatic Parking Assist: The new Pik-Up truck will get the new Semi-Automatic Parking Assist feature. This feature ensures convenient parking of the vehicle with easy manoeuvres.
Multi-Driving Modes: Mahindra will provide the driving modes feature in this vehicle for better fuel efficiency and performance. With this feature, the driver can select the mode for getting either better mileage or performance. Moreover, the All-Terrain Modes will offer the best off-roading performance.
2.2L Diesel Engine: Under the hood of this pik-up truck is a 2.2L 2nd generation M-Hawk diesel engine. This engine is a 4-cylinder unit which will be tuned for better performance and off-road capabilities. However, the automaker has claimed that this engine will use an aluminium block and produce a better low-end torque.
6-Speed Automatic Gearbox: The new Pik-Up truck will be available with the AISIN-sourced 6-Speed Automatic Gearbox. This Gearbox is a torque converter unit and it will be tuned for better performance during driving. However, the fuel efficiency will not be compromised.
4×4 system with Low Range Gearbox: For improving the off-road capability, the SUV will be equipped with a new 4×4 drivetrain system. In this case, the power can be sent to all 4 wheels depending upon the loss of traction. Moreover, the low-range gearbox will ensure the optimum torque delivery to the wheels for tackling the situations with utmost ease.
Launch Details and Global Vision of Mahindra
The new Scorpio-N-based pik-up truck is loaded with muscular design, the latest technology, features and powerful engines. Moreover, this pik-up truck features the new 4×4 system with All-Terrain Modes. We expect that the automaker will launch the new pik-up truck in 2025.

With the debut of the pik-up truck concept, the automaker aims to introduce a new generation utility vehicle with advanced features and better off-road capabilities.
Moreover, it will offer the best package of practicality and capabilities. Initially, this pik-up truck will be launched in markets like South Africa, Africa MENA, SCA, etc. After that, the automaker will launch this pik-up truck in other global markets.

The new Mahindra Pik-up is one of the most important Vehicles for the automaker. At the front, the pickup features a massive road presence and a bold front profile. The beauty of the vehicle is highlighted by the off-road spec wheels and LED headlights. However, the black bumper, upright bonnet, and black grille add to its muscular appeal.
The design of the vehicle looks bold and has a rugged appeal. However, this vehicle is made for multi-purpose usage like lifestyle utility, adventure, off-roading, etc.
However, this Vehicle is not bound for launch in India. Since the pickup truck segment is growing, it is expected to arrive in the market. If launched in India, then it will compete against Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross.
