The all new BMW X5 India launch will take place on May 29, with the launch event for the upcoming model scheduled to take place in Pune, Maharashtra. The new gen BMW X5 will be initially sold with a 3.0-litre diesel engine that has a max power of 258bhp.This 3.0 litre oil burner comes from the 530d and 730d sedans in the Bavarian car maker’s product portfolio.

It is being said that BMW dealerships in India have already commenced the booking process for the upcoming model and the new X5 can be booked for a booking amount of INR 5 lakhs. New BMW X5 deliveries in India are expected to start by early June 2014. The new BMW X5 Price in India is expected to be pegged around the INR 68 lakhs for the base five-seater variant. The top end, seven seater, trim level with the 3.0 litre diesel engine could be priced around INR 72 lakhs.
The soon to be launched F15 X5 is the third generation of the highly successful SUV and with the launch of the new BMW X5 in India, the Indian subsidiary of the Bavarian car maker should see more premium car buyers joining the BMW club. The next generation 2014 BMW X5 boasts of an all new styling that seems to have been inspired from that of many other cars in the BMW line up. For instance, the front fascia gets a new set of headlamps that have a hint of 3 Series in them and extend all the way in to the trademark kidney grille. The air vents on the new bumper seem to come from 4 Series Coupe concept. At the rear, the new X5 gets a new set of tail lamps that seem to have been inspired by those on the X3. On the inside, the car will become more luxurious with higher quality of materials used and will come with an updated version of the iDrive. The new X5 is bigger in size and have more spacious interiors.
