The new F36 BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe will make its debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in March this year. The car is expected to go on sale in June this year. After the 4 series Coupe and Convertible, this will be the third model to join the BMW 4 series range.

As can be seen in these leaked images, the four-door BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe will have a longer rear window and a quarter window that flows into a conventional boot. This design feature visually increases the side dimensions of the car. The stretched and dynamic design offer the Gran Coupe a more premium look while providing more interior room for passengers.

Speaking about the dimensions of the car, the new F36 BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe is just four centimeters longer than the 4 Series Coupe. The car stands tall at a height of 1.4 meters. The wheelbase has been increased to provide better entry to the rear seats.

The 4 Series Gran Coupe will go on sale in four variants- 420i, 420d, 428i, 435i, 430d and 435d. The United States will receive only the 428i and 435i variants of the Gran Coupe. These variants will be powered by the same engines which power the 3 Series and 4 Series. A 2.0 liter four pot petrol mill will be powering the 420i and 428i. A six pot petrol will be the motor doing its duty in the 435i. The 420d will be powered by a 2.0 liter four pot oil burner. The 430d and 435d will get a six pot 3.0 liter oil burner.
