The nice people at worldcarfans.com have reported that the upcoming 2014 Audi S1, the high performance version of the A1 hatchback, will make its debut in Geneva early next year. Like every S series car from the Ingolstadt based premium car maker, the S1 will be a more fun-to-drive version of their regular model.

The upcoming S1 hatchback will sport a modified front bumper and a revised grille. These little changes help bestowing the front end with more character. The rear end too comes with a sporty diffuser and a quad sports exhaust system.

Engine options for the upcoming Audi haven’t yet been confirmed but it is being expected that the car will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-pot motor, with at least 200 bhp on tap.

Audi fans will remember that the A1 Quattro has some 25o horses on tap and can dismiss the 100 km/h figure from zero in just 5.7 seconds, with a top speed of 245 km/h (152 mph). If these numbers are anything to go by, the 2014 S1 should be one sporty li’l machine. Also, the S1, much like the A1 Quattro, would come equipped with an All wheel drive system.
