The new 2018 Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X and 500X India launch is scheduled on February 28, 2018. More of the details about the motorcycle were already revealed through the leaked brochure. Visually, the motorcycle will feature paint scheme coordinated seats and rims. Moreover, the Thunderbird X duo would feature alloy wheels which would be wrapped in tubeless tyres. Other features will include LED tail-light, projector headlight with LED DRL, disc brakes on both ends, a flatter handlebar instead of the cruiser style unit, and single-piece saddle instead of the split-seat setup.

The new Thunderbird 500X and 350X would continue to use the same engines from the standard Thunderbird 500 and 350 respectively. Thus, the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X as well as the Royal Enfield 500X will continue to source power from the 346cc carburetor engine and 499cc fuel injected engine respectively. The former is capable of producing 19.8 bhp and 28 Nm of torque while the latter produces 27.2 bhp and 41.3 Nm of torque.
