The new, 2017 Porsche Panamera, which was unveiled back in June last year, is heading to India. The second generation of the sporty four-door, four-seater, family Grand Tourer will arrive in India on March 22, 2017.
The new Panamera has been re-designed and re-developed to the last detail and it looks much better than the model it replaces. The engines, transmission and the interior, along with drive systems have all been redesigned completely. The new Panamera sits 20mm lower than the model it replaces, with more athletic flanks and pronounced shoulders, along with a sporty roofline.
Globally, the top of the line Panamera Turbo gets a 4.0-litre biturbo V8 engine with 550 hp (30hp more) of power and 770 Nm (70 Nm more) of torque. Naught to 100 km/h comes in 3.8 seconds. With the Sport Chrono Package, the sprint time is reduced to 3.6 seconds. The Panamera Turbo can reach a top speed of 306 km/h. All the variants of the Panamera get Normal, Sport, Sport Plus or Individual modes as standard. All engines come mated to a newly developed eight-speed PDK transmission.
As aforementioned, the new Porsche Panamera Turbo will be launched on March 22, 2017. We expect the Panamera Turbo to carry a price tag between INR 1.8-2.0 crore (ex-showroom). We’d bring you all the latest updates and the official price of the model as and when they arrive.
