New 2015 Skoda Fabia Europe launch in October

Official word is out that the 2015 Skoda Fabia launch in Europe will take place in October this year. This revelation comes from a press release that the VW Group owned Czech automaker sent to us sometime back. The 2015 Skoda Fabia will completely replace the current model and is expected to come to our shores early next year.

Much like the current gen model, the next gen 2015 Fabia will find itself slotted between the Citigo city car and the Rapid sedan in the car maker’s product portfolio. The 2015 Fabia will not be underpinned by VW MQB architecture and instead, the car’s platform will be based on the Polo’s PQ25 architecture. It is being said that while the next gen Fabia would offer roomier interiors, it would be of almost the same length as the current model. Talking more about the car’s dimensions, Skoda product development chief Dr. Frank Welsch has said that the next gen car would be wider and will sit slightly lower.

The car’s exterior design would borrow plenty of design elements from the VisionD concept. The interiors too would have a fresh design and would be made up of better quality materials.

As we have been saying, while the next gen 2015 Skoda Fabia would spawn estate variants, the high performance vRS variant will be given a skip.
