Iconic British bike maker Triumph has unveiled the new 2013 Tiger 1050 Sport motorcycle.
It may be noted that the Tiger 1050 hasn’t been as successful a model as the Tiger 800 and Tiger 1200 but Triumph hasn’t given up on the 1050 yet. The 2013 edition is an attempt to popularize the slow selling bike among the bike aficionados.
The 2013 model gets 10bhp of additional power and the 3 pot motor now produces a decent power output of 123bhp and a peak torque of 104nm. Other than the slight power update and the Sport moniker, the Tiger 1050, for the 2013 edition, also gets a new single-sided swingarm, a slimmer subframe, a revised suspension, new wheels and redesigned fairings. Triumph says that the bike is now more fuel efficient by 7%.
The prices will be announced soon and the bike will go on sale by March.
