New 2013 Force Gurkha Launched @ INR 6.25 Lakhs

Pune based Force Motors launched the new Gurkha SUV at the ongoing Bus and Utility Vehicle Show 2013 at Noida today.

The Force Gurkha has to be among the best tools for off roading in the country today. Force Motors is marketing the Gurkha as an “Extreme Offroader Vehicle (EOV)” and offers the option of a 4×4 system.

The newly launched Force Gurkha is available in three variants – Soft top 4×2, Soft top 4×4 and Hard top 4×4.

At the launch event, Force showcased an accessorized Force Gurkha that sports a custom paint job, new front bumper, bumper mounted winch, bull bar, headlamp guard and roof mounted lamps.

The Gurkha is powered by a 2.6 litre diesel engine which is made under license from Mercedes. The engine is BS-III compliant and is mated to a 5 speed manual transmission with Hi-Lo option on 4×4 variants. This engine has a max power/torque figure of 82PS/230Nm.

The 4×4 variants also come with Differential locks on both front and rear axles

Underpinning the new Gurkha is a Reinforced tubular ladder frame chassis to enhance the off road capability.

Design changes include circular headlamps and silver finishing on front grill and bumper. The rear wheel cover too comes in a shade of silver.

New Force Gurkha Price List:

Soft top 4×2 – Rs. 6.25 lakhs

Soft top 4X4 – Rs. 8.35 lakhs

Hard top 4X4 – Rs. 8.50 lakhs

A ‘not so apparent’ but an important change is the usage of better quality of materials and the Gurkha owners will benefit from the improved ownership experience with the introduction of new Force Motors dealerships and service centres across the country.
