The BMW 4-Series coupe just made its public debut and it already has a new rival in the form of the new Cadillac ATS! The new Cadillac ATS too has been unveiled at the NAIAS and here are all the details and a set of official images of the new car. The new Cadillac ATS coupe will go on sale later this year and in the words of its manufacturer, the new car has been designed “to be lighter, more agile and more engaging than its competitors, it extends Cadillac’s product-driven growth and the brand’s tradition of dynamic luxury coupes.”
The US spec model will offer a choice of both rear- and all-wheel drive configuration and the car will go on sale with two engine options at the launch. One of these will be a 2.0-liter turbo and the other will be a 3.6-liter V6. This engine has a max power of 272hp and peak torque of 400 Nm. The V6 engine has a max power of 321 hp, but less torque at 373 Nm. Both these engines come mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox as standard. The 2.0 litre motor can also be ordered with a manual gearbox.
It is worth a mention here that the new Cadillac ATS Coupe becomes the first production model to boast of the popular car brand’s new logo, which doesn’t sport the classic wreath.
