MY 2017 Mercedes Benz E-Class interiors revealed ahead of launch at Detroit Motor Show

The interiors of the new Mercedes Benz E-Class have been revealed ahead of its debut at the Detroit Motor Show to be held in January next year. The interiors of the 2017 E-Class resembles the S-Class family and we wouldn’t be surprised if you mistook it for the same.

The interiors of the 2017 Mercedes Benz E-Class or the baby S Class as it can be termed, has a wide single piece display that occupies more than half of the dashboard. The top of the line variant features two (31.2 cm) 12.3 inch screens (1920 x 720 pixel resolution) with a variety of customization options and a revised main menu interface for the COMAND system. The entry-level model of the new E-Class combines two tube-type round dials and a 17.8 cm colour display cluster (1000 x 600-pixel resolution) with a central display with a 21.3 cm screen diagonal (960 x 540-pixel resolution). The driver gets to choose from 3 different options of Classic, Sport and Progressive for the screen design.

Mercedes has now incorporated touch-pads in the multi function steering wheel that enables the user to control every function of the infotainment system through the touch-pad on the right while the touch-pad on the left to make changes in the instrument cluster.

The interior of the upcoming E-Class is a combination of the luxurious S class and the sporty feel of a C-Class. The interiors are packed with goodies such the mood lighting with an array of 64 color options, moulded seats based on human physique that appear to have shoulder lines when viewed from a certain angle and an optional Burmester 3D surround sound music system with 23 speakers that produce 1450 watts.

E-Klasse InterieurE-Class Interior

The optionally available MULTIBEAM LED headlamp system has 2.5 times the partial high beam output and an LED tail-light system with a ‘Stardust’ effect that reminds one of the Milky Way or the glow of a jet engine according to Mercedes.

The only details which have not been revealed by Mercedes is the engine specifications of the 2017 E-Class that we expect to be unveiled soon at the launch of the E-Class that is scheduled to take place at the upcoming Detroit Motor Show in January.
