MV Agusta recently launched its Dragster 800 RR range in India which includes three bikes in total – 800 RR, 800 RR America, and the 800 RR Pirelli. The 800 RR America is limited to only 200 units worldwide and carries a price tag of Rs 18.73 lakh which is the same as the standard 800 RR. The 800 RR Pirelli too is an exclusive version with a special paint scheme made to pay tribute to the Italian tyre company and is priced at Rs 21.55 lakh (prices ex-showroom).
The Dragster 800 RR series is a street fighter motorcycle line up from MV Agusta which does appear like the Brutale 800 at first sight but has much different styling treatment when compared to the Brutale. It gets a new headlamp design with an integrated light guide and gets a wider but shorter tail section compared to the Brutale. The Dragster 800 RR series sports fatter 200mm section tyre at the rear, which is wrapped around laced wired spoke wheels. Color scheme options available for the standard Dragster 800 RR are – Ice pear White with matte grey and Nardo Grey with Matte Grey. The 800 RR America version gets the same color scheme as that of Brutale 800 RR America which is a Mica Blue shade.

The Dragster 800 RR lineup uses the 798 cc, three cylinder engine which is also used to power the Brutale family. The engine is tuned up for the Dragster variants to develop 140 hp and 87 Nm of torque and it comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-assist clutch and up/down quick shifter. For braking, the motorcycle uses a 320 mm twin disc set up at the front and a 220 mm disc for the rear wheel.
The Dragster 800 RR Pirelli, being the flagship and exclusive variant in the lineup gets the tank and fairing made in rubber formulated by Pirelli research and development team. The material used has high resistance to scratches. The color schemes available for this model are – Matte Black with Pirelli Yellow and Ice Pear with American Blue. The exotic brand is retailed through Kinetic Motoroyale outlets in India, where a new store in New Mumbai was recently added to the steadily growing network.
