Today, some changes took place at the Skoda Auto India as it appointed Mr. Jean-Marie Lagey as the new Director Technical from 1st February 2012.
Mr. Lagey has been in charge of Technical Operations at Skoda Auto plant in Aurangabad and is very experienced in technical aspects of the car industry. He remarked that his experience in India has been enjoyable so far. It may be noted that Indian car market has a high turnaround rate in premium car market and European manufacturers are trying hard at capitalizing on this.
Skoda has worked on its after sales service providing in recent times and the new Director Technical might come up with a new proposal to reduce the production and selling costs of the high priced components.
