More Details About Kawasaki Ninja 300R India Launch

Recently, we reported that the all new Kawasaki Ninja 300R is being tested in India. The new Ninja 300R and the Ninja 250R, which are identical in appearance, will sell alongside each other. Now, it has emerged that the Kawasaki Ninja 300R, which is being tested at Vehicle Research and Development Establishment (VRDE) and is also undergoing braking tests by ARAI, will soon start undergoing on-road tests. Also, there are at least two units of the 300R which are currently on test in India. Regulars here would remember that Motoroids became the first online portal to publish images of the Ninja 250R a few days before the bike was unveiled in India and now, we hope to soon lay our hands on the pics of the very promising Kawasaki Ninja 300R being tested in India. It is also being said that Bajaj Auto Ltd. is maintaining high secrecy levels during testing of the new bike but we do have more chances of snapping the 300R once its on road testing commences.

First impressions are that the Kawasaki Ninja 300R is nothing more than a slightly more powerful version of the 250R. Powering the Ninja 300R is a 296cc, parallel twin, fuel injected engine with dual throttle valves. The new motor pumps out a peak power output of 39 PS@11000 RPM and churns out 27 Nm of max torque @10,000 RPM. Power is transmitted to rear wheels using a 6-speed gearbox and the options list includes ABS . The 300R wears 110 section tyre up front and 140 section tyre at the rear.

The Kawasaki Ninja 300R India Launch should happen as soon as in June 2013. The latest in Ninja brand of bikes will open gates to an all new segment in Indian bike market and is targeted at those who want that wee bit extra from their entry level sportsbike. 1. I currently have a P 220 F..I want to upgrade till next year end…Will the Ninja 300 be a good step up from the Pulsar 220 or should i see for something else like the duke 390 and R25 ?
Also how will the Ninja stack up against the duke 390, pulsar 375,hyosung 250,cbr 250 r and r25 next year after all mentioned bikes become available in india ?
And does ninja have a considerable upper hand in brand value and image in the biking world ?
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards
