Earlier this year, JSW MG Motor India showed the Majestor as its new large SUV for the Indian market. The SUV was launched in May, and just a few months later, its first price revision has arrived. The change is limited to the Savvy 2WD versions, making the six-seater and seven-seater versions cost Rs 42.49 lakh each.
The 4WD model has not received a price increase. It continues to cost Rs 44.99 lakh, ex-showroom. This gives buyers three versions to choose from, with the 2WD models offered with different seating layouts.
MG Majestor New Prices
| Variant | Old Price | New Price |
| Savvy 2WD 6-seater | Rs 40.99 lakh | Rs 42.49 lakh |
| Savvy 2WD 7-seater | Rs 40.99 lakh | Rs 42.49 lakh |
| Savvy 4WD 7-seater | Rs 44.99 lakh | Rs 44.99 lakh |
The Rs 1.50 lakh increase applies to both 2WD versions. MG has not announced any new equipment with this revision. The SUV continues with a long list of features, which is one of the main talking points for buyers looking at large premium SUVs.
Lots Of Features On Offer
The Majestor gets two 12.3-inch screens, one for the driver and another for the infotainment system. Other equipment includes:
- Panoramic sunroof
- 12-speaker JBL sound system
- Three-zone climate control
- Dual wireless charging pads
- 220-volt power outlet
- Ventilated and massage front seats
12-way powered driver seat with memory
Level 2 ADAS
360-degree HD camera
The cabin also gets a large amount of technology without making the feature list hard to understand. The three-row layout gives the Majestor a spacious cabin, making it suitable for family use and long journeys.
Diesel Engine And 4WD Hardware
Power comes from a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine. It produces 212bhp and 478.5Nm of torque and works with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
The 4WD version adds hardware for tougher terrain. It gets 10 off-road modes, a low-range transfer case, triple locking differentials and M-Crawl. MG also claims a water-wading depth of 810mm.
The Majestor sits in a busy part of the SUV market. Its rivals include the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tayron and the upcoming Kia Sorento. The 4WD version also gives it a stronger off-road package than the regular 2WD models.
The SUV also brings a large road presence and a cabin designed around comfort. Buyers can choose between six-seat and seven-seat layouts on the 2WD version, depending on their needs. The six-seat setup uses captain chairs in the second row, giving passengers more room. The seven-seat version adds an extra seat for families who need more carrying capacity. Bookings and availability can be checked through MG dealerships across India.
