MG Comet Bookings Open. Here’s How Much You’ll Need to Pay

MG has recently launched its smallest EV known as the Comet. Initially, the maker announced the pricing of only one variant but later they announced more variants as well.

Now, the brand has started taking official bookings for the Comet EV. Buyers can reserve their favourite variant of Comet either online or at the dealership for a token amount of Rs. 11,000/-

About MG Comet

The MG Comet is the smallest offering from the company. The EV features a sleek and modern design. The aesthetics of this car shines with the LED lights that run across the width, black cladding with split LED headlamps, funky wheels, and a snazzy dual-tone colour.  Meanwhile, the Comet features a premium space grey airy interior. The comfort creature features include Auto AC, a 2-spoke steering wheel, an electronic parking brake, etc.

 The new MG Comet features a 17.3kWh IP67-rated battery pack with a claimed range of 230kms. Moreover, the brand will provide a 3.3kW battery charger that takes 7 hours to fully charge the vehicle. The new Comet gets a single electric motor making 42hp of power and 110nm of torque output. However, the power is channeled to the rear wheels via an Automatic Transmission.

Pricing and other details

MG has retailed its latest product, the Comet at Rs. 7.98 Lakh onwards Ex-showroom. This pricing is applicable to the first 5,000 bookings. As per MG, the running cost of Comet is Rs. 519 per 1000 km.

MG offers 3 years of standard warranty on Comet along with an 8-year battery warranty. The brand also offers a buyback offer in which customers can return the car after 3 years at 60% of its value.

MG Motors is offering a special ownership package to its customers of Comet EV known as the e-Shield. Following are the details of the MG e-Shield package:

•         3 years or 1 lakh km standard warranty

•         3 years of Roadside Assistance (RSA)

•         3 free labour services- First 3 scheduled services

•         The 17.3 kWh Li-ion battery with IP67 rating and Prismatic Cells comes with 8 years or 1.20 lakh km warranty. *

Furthermore, the carmaker offers options from 80+ different warranty & service packages, starting at just Rs. 5,000/-
