Mercedes launches CL Grand Edition to celebrate 60th anniversary of S Class coupe

Back in 1952, Mercedes had introduced the 300 S to the world. While the S class coupe saw quite a few name changes in the next years, the German manufacturer came out with many generations of the car.To celebrate 60 years of the introduction of the 300 S, Merc launched a new optional pack for the CL class coupe-the direct descendent of 300 S. Labelled as “Grand Edition”. The package comes up with a variety of new options from Mercedes’ ‘designo’ range. This includes a choice of three bespoke paint finishes called platinum black metallic, mocha black metallic and magno cashmere matte white. Grand Edition also sports the AMG Sports package, front and rear aprons, side sill panels and 20-inch mags.

On the inside, buyer gets to choose between three different ‘designo’ leather upholsteries- aniline leather armagnac, aniline leather deep black and the lighter aniline leather porcelain. The “Grand Edition” package can be had on the CL500 BlueEFFICIENCY and CL600.
