Mercedes Benz India will introduce the budget end variant of the new M-Class SUV on 10th this month. Christened as the ML250CDI, the new variant will come with a smaller 204BHP, 2.2 Litre, 4 cyl turbocharged oil burner and will be mated to a 7 speed automatic gearbox. The car will come with low rolling resistance tyres and a start-stop system for enhancing the fuel efficiency figure.
The 2012 M-Class 250CDI will come to us via CKD route and will be assembled at the manufacturer’s Chakan facility. The new variant of the popular M Class is expected to be priced very aggressively and will battle it out against the BMW X5 and the likes. The car will be high on equipment and will be loaded with safety features like 9 airbags, Attention Assist drowsiness detection, PreSafe pre-collision protection, lane assist and blind spot detection, ABS and EBD.
