It seems like the very rugged Mercedes Benz G63 AMG isn’t hardcore enough for some. A 6-wheeled Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG was recently spotted in Europe and it is being said that this is an exclusive variant of the G-Class and comes with a 6WD arrangement.
The car was spotted being transported on a flat-bed and might be on its way to getting delivered. It isn’t known if the car was built to order for a private buyer or for the defence forces. Apart from the 6 wheel configuration, the special G63 AMG looks like the standard version and might look ‘normal’ at first glance.
From what is known to us, Mercedes makes this 6-wheel drive variant of the G-Class for the Austrian army and even the Swedish army has ordered these. Unsurprisingly, the 6 wheeled G63 AMG can’t be bought by civilians.
Powering the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6WD is a 5.5-litre AMG V8 motor that has max power output of 544 HP and has a peak torque of 760 Nm. The motor is mated to a 7-speed 7G-TRONIC transmission that transmits power to all six wheels.
