Mercedes-Benz India has introduced the facelift for the GLE Coupe priced at Rs 1.85 crore (before options) promises a blend of sophistication and performance.
Exterior Aesthetic Tweaks
The exterior of the GLE 53 Coupe facelift showcases subtle yet impactful cosmetic changes. The redesigned headlights and tail-lights, along with a tweaked front bumper, create an aesthetic that exudes modernity and sophistication.
The overall silhouette maintains the allure of a coupe, ensuring it stands out in the competitive luxury SUV segment.

Performance Dynamics
Under the hood, the facelift maintains the mechanical prowess of its predecessor, housing a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine.

Generating a remarkable 435hp and 560Nm, this powerhouse propels all four wheels through a 9-speed automatic and 4Matic AWD system.
The new addition of a 48V mild-hybrid system enhances performance, shaving 0.3 seconds off the 0-100kph sprint time, now at an impressive 5 seconds.
Interior Enhancements
Inside the GLE 53 Coupe, the changes are subtle yet impactful. A new part-leather part-Alcantara steering wheel adds a touch of luxury.

The rest of the cabin mirrors the excellence seen in the refreshed GLE, featuring a customizable head-up display, additional steering wheel control buttons, and heated, ventilated, lumbar-supported front seats.
Safety and Entertainment
The GLE 53 Coupe facelift boasts a comprehensive list of safety and tech features. Standard safety includes nine airbags, blind spot assist, 360-degree cameras, and a ‘transparent bonnet.’

Optional extras encompass the AMG Track Pace software for track enthusiasts, the Acoustic Comfort Package for enhanced sound insulation, and AMG’s high-performance braking system.
Introducing the Mercedes-Benz EQG Concept
In addition to the GLE 53 Coupe facelift, Mercedes-Benz has brought the all-electric Concept EQG to India, marking a significant step towards sustainable mobility.
While retaining the iconic boxy look, the EQG concept aligns with the new EQ range, ensuring aerodynamic efficiency crucial for an electric vehicle’s range.

The EQG Concept
The EQG concept features four individually controllable wheel-mounted motors and a 2-speed gearbox offering low-range and high-range gearing. Mercedes-Benz hints at carrying this quad-motor powertrain into the production model.
The integrated ladder-frame battery ensures a low center of gravity, and with an estimated 0-100kph timing of less than 4.5 seconds, it promises to outpace the V8-powered AMG G63.

Innovative G-Turn Function
A unique G-Turn function sets the EQG apart, allowing an on-the-spot 360-degree tank turn. Activated by a dashboard-mounted button, the electric motors turn the wheels in opposing directions, offering unparalleled maneuverability.
