Mercedes Benz C AMG Saloon Paris Motor Show Launch

Mercedes-AMG C 63 S to launch in India on September 3

Mercedes-Benz India will be launching the new generation Mercedes-AMG C 63 S in India on 3rd September 2015, at the AMG Performance Center, in Delhi. The fourth AMG to be launched this year, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S will also be the 10th AMG product in the Mercedes-Benz India portfolio.  The Mercedes-AMG C 63 S will be sold in India via the CBU route.

The C 63 draws power from a 4.0 litre V8 biturbo engine that puts out 476 hp in the C 63 variant and 510 hp in the C 63 S model; we’re getting the latter in India. The power is transferred to the rear wheels via a AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7-speed sports transmission. Standard, go-faster equipment includes the AMG RIDE CONTROL sport suspension with electronically regulated shock absorbers, the mechanical rear differential lock and the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programme.

Mercedes says that the C 63 is the world’s most fuel efficient V8 model – “over 30 percent more fuel efficient than its predecessor and significantly more efficient than its less powerful competitors with six-cylinder engines” (read BMW M3).  Performance credentials include a 0-100km/h time of 3.9 seconds, and an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h.
