Maserati has raised the bar with the recent revelation of its masterpiece, the GranCabrio, following hot on the heels of the GranTurismo in 2023
Power Unleashed
Under the sleek exterior, the GranCabrio houses a powerhouse—a 550hp, twin-turbo V6 engine that it shares with Maserati’s acclaimed GranTurismo and MC20 sportscars.
Unveiled in the top-spec Trofeo model, this convertible boasts formidable horsepower and also features all-wheel drive as a standard.

A Glimpse into Performance
While specific acceleration figures and top-speed details are yet to be disclosed, Maserati’s claim that the GranTurismo can accelerate from 0-100kph in 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 320kph .
It’s important to note that these figures may see a slight reduction due to the transformation into a convertible configuration.

Future Possibilities
Maserati enthusiasts can anticipate more excitement as the GranCabrio might also be available with the coupe’s 490hp V6 and the powerful 760hp electric powertrains.
While details are pending confirmation, sightings of the Folgore EV undergoing tests abroad hint at its imminent arrival, adding an electrifying dimension to Maserati’s convertible lineup.
Exterior and Interior Extravaganza
The GranCabrio mirrors the aesthetics of its coupe sibling, with a distinctive touch—a fabric soft-top available in five colors.
Operable with ease via the central display’s touch button, this convertible features Maserati’s signature details, including the iconic oval grille with the Trident logo, three air vents on the front fenders, and slim, vertical headlamps with thin, L-shaped LED daytime running lamps.

Inside, the GranCabrio maintains the sporty allure with dual screens for infotainment and HVAC controls. The classic analog clock graces the dashboard, accompanied by an unchanged steering wheel and digital dials.
A noteworthy addition is the standard neck-warmer system, offering three levels of heat, while the manually operated wind deflector, reducing turbulence for passengers, stands as an optional extra.

Maserati in India
For the Indian automotive landscape, the anticipation is building. The last addition from Maserati was the MC20 in March 2023.
Looking ahead, the GranTurismo coupe is set to make its mark between April and June 2024, with the GranTurismo Folgore EV following in the October-December period.
Given Maserati’s history in the Indian market, the GranCabrio is likely to grace the Indian roads, possibly making its debut around 2025.
