Maruti Suzuki India limited has announced that it will tease car aficionados with an all new compact car design language in the form of Concept Future S at the 2018 Auto Expo in February, 2018.
Concept Future S is aimed to be a uniquely styled compact car that has a bold presence with its distinct SUV like characters, targeted to delight customers in the compact car space. The Concept Future S is designed to carry forward Suzuki’s slogan of ‘Compact is beautiful’ and create its own positioning by breaking away from the conventional proportions of a compact car.

A few design cues from the sketch reveal an upright stance, commanding higher seating and ground clearance, horizontal hood giving it a unique aggressive stance and posture. The urban SUV image is put together by the bold and upright front, with a unique A-pillar treatment, that connects to the accent on the side sill, taut powerful shoulders and a raised rear volume to give a dynamic appeal.
Explaining Concept Future S, CV Raman, Senior Executive Director (Engineering), Maruti Suzuki India Limited said that the increasing preference for UVs and their bold architecture inspired the design team to study a new character for compact cars. He also added that the Concept Future S could mark a distinctive shift in how compact cars are shaped and designed in India in the future.
As aforementioned, the global premiere of Concept Future S will take place at Delhi Auto Expo in early February. Maruti Suzuki will announce more details in the run-up to the Expo.
