Introducing limited edition variants of popular vehicles to make them…well…more popular has been an old habit of Maruti Suzuki. Now, the manufacturer has come up with a limited edition version of the hot selling hatchback- the Swift. Christened as Swift Alpha, this edition of the car gets new features without having to see a revised price tag. The condition applied here is that the Alpha trim is available only in VXi variant. This clearly is a move to promote petrol car sales which long have been overshadowed by the diesel siblings. The Alpha comes with an exclusive interior styling kit, a Bluetooth enabled audio system, seat covers, designer mats, mud flaps, and a rear spoiler. It will be interesting to see if petrol engined Swift Alpha can eat into the sales of the diesel sibling.
