The sixth season of Maruti Suzuki’s Dakshin Dare rally concluded on day 5 of the event as Sandeep Sharma and Varun Davessar lifted the trophy for the first spot in the Extreme 4 Wheeler category of the competition. Second spot was grabbed by Sanjay Agarwal and Venu Ramesh Kumar followed by Aman Preeth and Sudeep Halder on third place. The first and second spot achievers were representing Team Maruti.
The final timings of the top three racers of the Extreme 4 Wheeler category were:
- Sandeep Sharma and Varun Davessar (3:41:26)
- Sanjay Agarwal and Venu Ramesh Kumar (3:42:49)
- Aman Preeth and Sudeep Halder (3:44:56)
Meanwhile, in the Endurance category, Kartik Maruti and Sankar Anand of Team Maruti aced the top spot in their Ertiga while Sachin Singh and Pratima captured the second spot. Ganesh Moorthy and Nagarajan who also represented Team Maruti caught the third spot.
The final timings of the top three racers in the Endurance category were:
- Karthick Maruthi and Shankar Anand (2:13)
- Sachin Singh and Pratima (2:51)
- Ganesh Moorthy and Nagarajan (3:10)
Finally, in the two-wheeler category, Mohit Verma emerged as the winner while Nataraj and Pramod Joshua captured the second and third spot respectively.
The final timings of the top three racers in the two-wheeler category were:
- Mohit Verma (3:29:15)
- Nataraj (3:33:30)
- Pramod Joshua (3:35:37)
The ‘motor rally’ event covered over 2000 kms around South India going through places like Mysore, Shimoga, Chitradurga, Davangere, Bellary, Hospet and Hubli.
