The Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show last year. GAD Motors got its hands on the A45 AMG and has upgraded the already powerful AMG hatch.
GAD Motors mainly focused on extracting additional horsepower from the four pot 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol mill. The stock engine churns out 360 PS (265 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). By remapping the engine’s ECU, the aftermarket specialists have bumped the power output to 430 PS (316 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). This is only the first stage of their upgrade program as GAD Motors says there’s still room for improvement.
With the increased horses, the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG does 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 4.1 seconds which is an improvement from 4.6 seconds which the stock car takes. The 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) dash is now done in a mere 14.3 seconds, an improvement of around three seconds.
Apart from upgrading the power and torque for the hot hatch, GAD Motors has also shod the tires with black 19-inch OZ Racing Superforgiata multi-spoke alloy wheels. The tires used here are from Pirelli. Also, the body gets an in-house full wrap featuring an appealing shade of lime.
