We thought we’d go ahead and explicate the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz variants in detail. Due for a launch, the Ciaz will be available in 4 different variants – V, V+, Z and Z+ , which translates to Vxi, Vxi+, Zxi and Zxi+ for the petrol variants; Vdi, Vdi+, Zdi and Zdi+ for the diesel variants.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Vxi/Vdi
This is going to be your basic Ciaz. And prepare to get blown with the amount of standard equipment it carries- projector headlamps, keyless entry, an audio system with USB compatibility, rear AC vents, armrests at the front and rear, electrically adjustable rear view mirrors with integrated turn indicators, chromed interior door handles, tilt adjustable steering and power windows. Yeah, you read that right. Moving on..

In addition to all the standard fare from the basic variant, the + moniker adds automatic climate control, front fog lights, reverse parking sensors, steering mounted controls for the phone and audio system and bluetooth connectivity. Besides it gains ABS and a driver airbag.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Zxi/Zdi
The Z trims sit higher and apart from all the above mentioned goodies- it receives features like push button engine start, door handles dipped in chrome, fabric and leather seat upholstery, 15 inch alloy wheels, a rear sun blind, an illuminated foot well and AC vents with chrome surrounds. Typically, you pay more to be safe in Indian cars , and the Ciaz doesn’t disappoint- there are airbags for both front passengers and a reverse parking camera that feeds video on the display in the centre console.

The Z+ trim levels represent the top of the Ciaz food chain. There’s leather everywhere, even on the steering wheel. There’s a touchscreen controlled infotainment display that can sync with a smartphone and also comes with voice recognition. Externally, the boot gets some chrome trimming and a set of 16 inch alloy complete the package.
