Only few minutes back, we reported that Honda Cars India Ltd. has announced a price hike for some of its cars on sale in country. Now, we have got to know that nation’s largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, too will be soon seen increasing prices of its products. The magnitude of price increase is unknown as of now. The price increase is the result of increased costs of input and changes in foreign exchange
It may be noted that the car maker is troubled by the Indian Rupee growing weaker against Japanese Yen and the manufacturer is in the process of increasing the localisation of its cars. The car maker also plans to export the upcoming Alto 800 hatchback to international markets. The new car will be launched in India on October 16 and will be launched abroad by December 2012.
