Maruti Suzuki begins pre-launch bookings for the new S-Cross

Maruti Suzuki has begun accepting bookings for its newest kid on the block, the S-Cross. The ‘crossover’ will be launched in August 2015 and will be available through the carmaker’s new network of NEXA showrooms. NEXA, in Maruti Suzuki’s speak, stands for New Exclusive Automotive experience. In the coming few weeks, up to 30 NEXA showrooms will be opened.

Maruti Suzuki is offering four different options for those interested in purchasing the new S-Cross, and these are as follows:

• By dialling the toll free number 1800-200-6392, the customer can make enquiries about the car and leave their contact details.
• The second option is to log in to the new S-Cross-specific website: www.nexaexperience.com and leave behind their contact information.
• Interested customers can also drop by at any of the existing Maruti Suzuki sales network and leave their contact details there.
• Apart from the usual showroom affair, Maruti Suzuki will also be displaying the S-Cross at various locations across the country. Interested buyers can fill in their contact details there.

In all these cases, details of those interested, will be passed on to a NEXA showroom. A NEXA relationship manager will then contact the customers accordingly to finalise the booking and complete its formalities. Upon launch, the new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross will be available in four variants and five colour choices. The variants include the entry-level Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and the top-spec Alpha trim. The Sigma trim will only be offered with a 1.3-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that makes 89bhp of power and 200 Nm of torque. The other three variants are offered with the new DDiS 320 diesel engine and this unit makes 118bhp of power and 320 Nm of twist. While the former makes do with a 5-speed manual transmission, the latter gets a 6-speed gearbox. Maruti Suzuki will be offering the S-Cross in five colours; Caffeine Brown, Urban Blue, Pearl Arctic White, Premium Silver, and Granite Grey.
