Maruti Suzuki Baleno CVT Zeta variant launched for INR 7.47 lakh

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno’s Zeta trim level (petrol) is now available with the CVT automatic transmission, and has been launched at Rs 7.47 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Along with the Delta, this is the second trim level in the Baleno line up to be offered with the CVT.  The Zeta trim level misses out on the SMARTPLAY infotainment system, although gets all the other features from the Delta trim.

The CVT is starpped to the Baleno’s 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine that generates 83 bhp and 115 Nm of torque. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is offered in four trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The hatchback is available in shades of premium silver, Pearl arctic white, Granite grey, Solid fire red, Premium urban blue, Autumn orange, Metallic and Ray blue.

Speaking on the occasion, RS Kalsi, executive director (Marketing & Sales) of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “Baleno has rapidly found success to become a popular premium hatchback owing to its design, technology and performance. We are thankful to customers for the support and continue our efforts to improve its availability. The automatic option – Continuous Variable Transmission – offered on the Delta variant has been much appreciated by the customers. We are now offering CVT on the Zeta variant as well, to popularise two pedal technologies.”
